Because I may be your child’s father…

In the mid-1990s, I was a donor at a fertility clinic called Andrology Northwest. The doctor there was named John Sampson; the office was on SW 11th Avenue in Portland, Oregon, on the sixth floor. I bring this up because, if you were a patient at this clinic, your child may carry my DNA. If so, you will be interested in some family health information that has come to light in the intervening years.

If any of this sounds relevant or familiar to you, use the comment form to tell me what you know about me. For starters, I have brown eyes and stand a little over 5’11”. This way, I can confirm that my family history will be of use to you, or not.

nota bene:  This is not a crisis, but it is significant, the kind of information that a parent would want to know about his or her child’s family medical history, given anonymously.

I was a patient inseminated during 1994 using this clinic and doctor. My daughter was born in May 1995. I was told my donor was about 6 feet tall, had brown eyes and hair, was a student, was interested in sports and music and was of German background. Either way I would be interested to know if this sounds like you. My daughter is very anxious to find out anything she can about her father.
